Your opportunity
You will experience the culture of a technology start-up and work in an international environment with SkillLabers from 30+ countries.
You will create an impact on SkillLab by supporting various people operations initiatives and projects
You will work closely with the Internal Operations team, as well as other functions when needed.
You will gain hands-on experience in event organization and people ops workflows in a tech company of 65+ people.
Your team
You will directly work with Felix, one of Skilllab co-founders who leads the internal operations team. Furthermore, you will cooperate with:
Tais (People Operations Coordinator and Office Manager) to support the organization of our events and office management tasks.
Rwitu (HR Business Partner) to support our Q3 performance management cycle
Elsa (Recruitment & People Operations Specialist) in various recruitment tasks.
As the internal ops team we ensure the smooth running of SkillLab as an organization and support our beloved SkillLabers.

Your Responsibilities
Once you've settled in through the onboarding process, you'll dive into diverse projects. Your assignments will evolve to meet the most pressing needs of the organization:
Office Management & Operations – Maintain office logistics, supplies, and vendor coordination, and support the overall office experience.
Retreats & Events – Help plan and organize company retreats, team days, and internal engagement initiatives.
Performance Management – Support the performance management cycles through data management and communication preparation.
Hiring & People projects – Assist with recruitment processes and contribute to various people-focused projects, such as wellbeing, retrospectives, and leadership development.
Your impact
You will support Felix, Tais, Elsa and Rwitu in their work. Through supporting smaller tasks, you will get an insight into event organization, hiring, performance management and other HR topics etc.
You will manage your own projects (e.g. supporting our team leadership development, or doing desk research to find external suppliers
Your skills
You are a generalist with a strong interest in learning about how to run people operations for a technology company.
No prior work experience or relevant study are needed.
You value attention to detail and have a passion for creating exceptional experiences.
You are a team player but at the same time you can work independently and prioritize your work.
Research and organizational skills
Interest in event planning and internal communications
Languages
Professional fluency in English (required)
Other languages are a plus!
Extra awesome
You have prior internship / work experience or university / volunteering projects related to people operations / HR.
Job requirements
You are currently enrolled as a student or graduated within the last 12 months.
You are eligible to work in the Netherlands. We don’t support visa applications for applicants from outside the EU.
You are able to commit to a six-month full-time (40 hour/week) internship.
You live in Amsterdam and can commit to office attendance 3-4 days per week.
Compensation, start-date & location
This is a paid internship. The monthly reimbursement will be 1.000 EUR.
We accept applications on rolling basis and we envision a start date in February 2026.

Our selection procedure
You apply for the role and we review your profile.
We will invite you for a short screening call.
We will invite you for a 60-min interview if we find that you are a good fit. The interview will involve you preparing a short assignment.
We will offer you the internship and discuss logistics, if we think that you are the ideal candidate for the role.
